Kindly note that Authentication Services, which comprises Verification of SA Qualifications and Foreign Qualifications Evaluation, will be temporarily closed on 20 June 2025 for staff training. All services, including the call center, will be unavailable for one hour between 11:00am and 12:00pm. Operations will resume at 12:15pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What is the South African
Qualifications Authority?

The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is the oversight body of the NQF and the custodian of its values and quality character. The role of SAQA, as stipulated in the NQF Act, is to advance the objectives of the NQF, oversee the further development and implementation of the NQF, and co-ordinate the Sub-Frameworks. SAQA’s functions are set out in section 13 of the NQF Act.
